Making Hot Pot for Chinese New Year

Hello my faithful blog readers, sorry for my inconsistent blogging. Thanks for sticking around!
I have been busy with work and my three classes at community college. My poor blog has been on the low priority list.

On February 7 we celebrated Chinese New Year with a Chinese friend.
We went shopping for ingredients with her and she showed us how to make Hot Pot soup.

Cilantro, cabbage and bean sprouts

Fish balls

The broth simmering on the stove

Mushrooms from the sea.  I forget their actual name.

The whole spread on the table. Once the soup started boiling, we added the raw vegetables and chicken into the soup to cook. It was delicious!

My sisters and I and our friend. :)
