Do you believe "Where there's life, there's hope?"

I was asked this question: Do you believe where there's life, there's hope?"  Yes, I do. A beating heart signifies life. I just read an article about a woman who has been termed "brain-dead." Because she does not have brain activity that can be measured by a machine, and since she is listed as an organ donor, most doctors would say there is no hope and her organs should be taken to save someone else's life. But if her heart is beating, she is still alive. There is still hope that she could revive. I was walking in our back garden today and I saw clusters of daffodils in the fresh snow. They had buds. The buds, were encrusted with snow. They could have been frozen. Some would say, "There is no hope, the flowers are dead."
