How time flies! I am sorry about my lack of posts recently...... It is March again, which means pretty soon I can post pictures of budding blooms and flowering trees and all that good stuff! I love the Springtime. It is full of hope and newness of life. It reminds me of the Lord Jesus' words: "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
Without Jesus Christ in my life, I would be miserable and hopeless, headed toward a Christless grave, but as I grow day by day in my friendship with the Lord, I see just how much grace, love and mercy He has given me! I am so blessed to be an adopted child of God and a joint heir with Christ.
"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." (Romans 8:12-17)
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)
Delicious homemade bread.
“How can we turn our knowledge about God into knowledge of God? The rule for doing this is simple but demanding. It is that we turn each Truth that we learn about God into matter for meditation before God, leading to prayer and praise to God.”

At our State Capitol Building for "Capitol Day" (when Homeschoolers from around the state gather to hear from State representatives and thank them for their work.)
Delicious homemade bread.
My little sister with one of our Great Pyrenees pups.
Snow! We were out at Homeschool Capitol Day when it started snowing.
“Knowing about God is crucially important for the living of our lives. As it would be cruel to an Amazonian tribesmen to fly him to London, put him down without explanation in Trafalgar Square and leave him, as one who knew nothing of English or England, to fend for himself, so we are cruel to ourselves if we try to live in this world without knowing about the God whose world it is and who runs it. The world becomes a strange, mad, painful place, and life in it a disappointing and unpleasant business, for those who do not know about God. Disregard the study of God, and you sentence yourself to stumble and blunder through life blindfold, as it were , with no sense of direction, and no understanding of what surrounds you. This way you can waste your life and lose your soul.”
