Happenings in my life...

Hello friends! Here is a little about what has been happening in my life recently....

Our supper table for July 4. Table decorated by my four lovely sisters. Isn't it beautiful?

This is one of my favorite classical pieces. A slightly modern version of it.
"The Four Seasons: Summer" by Guido's Orchestra.

I tried making Creme Brulee this week for the first time. The top is vanilla sugar which I                               caramelized in the oven on broil. I think it turned out pretty well. They were delicious!

A stray cat we have befriended. She had 3 kittens and we enjoy watching their antics. :-)

A birdhouse in our back yard. Notice the interesting shadows on the wall from our redbud tree.
I played clarinet in a patriotic concert out in the park with my Dad. It was very fun.
                                         A drawing I did for my brother's 18th birthday.
These are rose petals I made into rose-water. It is so satisfying to make my own beauty    "concoctions." All I do is put a few handfuls of rose petals into boiling water. Steep for 10-15 minutes. (almost like making tea!) Then strain off the rose-water from the petals. Add a few drops of vegetable glycerine. I also add
2 parts witch hazel to 1 part rose-water. Now you have your own natural rose facial toner!

My three finished pots. It was so exciting to see how they turned out. :-)

This is one of my pots that is still unglazed. It has been fired once. I am planning on glazing it Jade Green.

Thanks for reading my blog!
