My First Post!

Lydia on the swing

illuminated redbud leaf - spring 2008

I aspire to honor my Creator and Savior in all I say and do. Our family lives on a quiet little street in the heart of Oklahoma. We have three acres and enjoy taking care of six sheep (three are lambs, including one that was born just days ago), a brown and white rabbit called Cottontail, and eleven assorted chickens from whom we enjoy getting our own fresh eggs. On Tuesday, our broody hen hatched a chick! Now we have two chicks and there are three more eggs we are waiting on.

We hatched this rooster ourselves in an 4-H incubator last summer.

Detail of a rabbit wall hanging I made recently.
The race is on!

The "barnyard"

Our plum, pear and redbud trees are all in full blossom. I enjoy the spring- the weather is just right, and outside all the bright colors and delicious scents are just waiting to be savored!

Photography, and Writing are my strong points but I also enjoy sewing, and arts and crafts.

Whenever I have the time, I enjoy immersing myself in a good book from the library. :-)

Bye for now! Elizabeth. <><

I asked this question today. To walk means to move, to go from one physical place to another. Unless you are walking on a treadmill and then you literally go nowhere! To walk with someone else you have to keep up with their pace, whether they walk slower or faster than you. To walk with Christ we need to watch Him and match our stride with His. Not lagging behind, yet also not walking too far ahead of Him either. I know I tend to run ahead to the future in my thoughts and not always listen to what the Lord tells me in the His Word, the Bible. Who are some people who walked with God? Abraham is one who comes to mind. When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.” Genesis 17:1 Abraham walked so closely with God ...
