The top of the gathered skirt (this will be sewn to the bodice/top of the dress) The peasant bodice with elastic in the neck and sleeves. Elastic creates such pretty, feminine, gathers :-) before putting the elastic in. The skirt after I cut off the original waistband. (This was a thrift store bargain I found. It is a linen woman's skirt)

Lydia on the swing illuminated redbud leaf - spring 2008 I aspire to honor my Creator and Savior in all I say and do. Our family lives on a quiet little street in the heart of Oklahoma. We have three acres and enjoy taking care of six sheep (three are lambs, including one that was born just days ago), a brown and white rabbit called Cottontail, and eleven assorted chickens from whom we enjoy getting our own fresh eggs. On Tuesday, our broody hen hatched a chick! Now we have two chicks and there are three more eggs we are waiting on. We hatched this rooster ourselves in an 4-H incubator last summer.
